Matt Cutts Confirms Upcoming Penguin, Panda Updates & New Link Network Targets

At the SMX West panel called The Search Police, Matt Cutts announced new updates with Google’s Penguin and Panda algorithms and new link network targets.

According to Cutts, there will be a big Penguin update this year that he thinks will be one of the most talked about.  He said that Google’s search quality team is currently working on this major update to the Penguin algorithm.  There has not been an update to the algorithm since the Penguin 3 in October 2012.

When asked about Panda updates and when the next one is coming, Cutts announced that there will be a Panda algorithm update as early as this Friday, March 15.  We have not seen a Panda update since #24, which was rolled out on January 22nd.

Lastly, Cutts confirmed that Google targeted a link network a few weeks ago and said that Google will go after more this year.  Google has been tracking and studying that link network, as well as another one, for the last few months and are about to take action on the second one. He said to expect another update in the next week or two that will specifically target the other large link network.

    With every little thing which

appears to be building throughout this specific subject

    matter, many of your

viewpoints tend to be somewhat exciting. However,
I appologize, but I do not subscribe to your entire plan, all
    be it radical none the

less. It appears to me that your commentary

are not totally rationalized and in

reality you are generally yourself not really
thoroughly confident of your assertion. In any case I did appreciate reading it.
